The perfect social butterfly, Gemini is an Air sign endowed will all the charms and graces this element can provide. Talkative, intellectually inquisitive, always thirsty for new knowledge and new experiences in life, it is one of the most charming creatures of the zodiac. Still, much like Libra, the nature of the Gemini is truly dual. Also, much like Libra, this binary nature can bring them a host of challenges on a deeply personal level. While some other signs never have any issues with being straightforward and to the point, Gemini will almost always seem ambivalent (even unreliable) to others, often appearing inconsistent and superficial. This in turn can be a great source of misunderstanding for those born in this sign.

What the New Moon in Gemini Will Be About

During the New Moon in Gemini, this anxiety may rise to an almost fever pitch. While the sign is not exactly known for strong emotions and outbursts of passion, their internal demons and battles can be quite intense and, even if they do exude an air of cool and composed disposition, their inner workings can get quite entangled and produce excessive amounts of stress. This can, of course, cause trouble in many different aspects of their lives.

Developing Your Awareness of Others During the Gemini New Moon

While battling inner demons, the Gemini may become extremely self-centered and thus only superficially interested in their fellow humans to the extent of not noticing those around them and caring little (or at least appearing to care little) for the troubles of those they ought to. Such failure to acknowledge the feelings and needs of others may end up being interpreted as extreme selfishness and the excessively inward orientation may weave yet another layer of misunderstanding cast over their persona.

The energies swirling around, causing this tension can also teach us a valuable lesson. When the mind finds itself in such a state of confusion, we need to reach out to others, not be so concentrated on our own inner dialogue, but distract our ever-active psyche with more practical tasks at hand - tasks that involve others and their worries and concerns. We need to seek help but we also need to help others. This may give us a better perspective and understanding of how our own problems may not be as big as we imagine them to be and that sometimes, perhaps just sometimes we have a tendency to be superficial and fickle, and that far greater, more important things in life do indeed exist.

Harsh as it may sound, it is a wake-up call that we all occasionally need. With this new attitude, the airy energy of Gemini will be transmuted into its purely positive form and directed towards making other people's lives better, making them feel content, but also making ourselves feel more useful, more functional, and ultimately chasing away the inner demons that besiege us. We can (and by all means should) have more control over the inner workings of our mind.
