Capricorn is perhaps the most stalwart and constant of signs of the horoscope. This horned creature is well capable of waiting an entire lifetime to see the fulfillment of their dreams. Dedicated beyond all measure, their determination and ability to make sacrifices both for their own end goals and for the benefit of others is what sets them apart from all other members of the zodiac. Their aims however are usually for purely material things and financial gains, while romantic and spiritual interests come second (or third, or eleventh). Whatever they chose to focus on is guaranteed to be a success, no matter at what cost.
What the New Moon in Capricorn Will Be About
It is precisely this sort of sharp focus and determination that can at times turn into stubbornness of the highest order. Materialism is also a flaw the Capricorn is not immune to and with the New Moon appearing in its domain, it is only likely to grow stronger. Its orientation towards all the riches the world has to offer, towards financial stability and constant growth can be their downfall. The ambition which, unlike that of the Aries, can sometimes take a darker turn, leaves the Capricorn perpetually dissatisfied with their current position, always aiming higher and higher. Once the sight is set on the end goal, the average member of this sign will not budge and inch and will insist on getting their prize, no matter the consequences.

Tempering Ambition and Pride For the New Moon in Capricorn
Aesop's fable of the two goats meeting on a narrow bridge immediately springs to mind. Their innate pride would not permit either to stand aside for the other. Meeting in the middle, horn to horn, neither would give way. In the end, as it was to be expected, they both fell to their doom, to be swept away by the roaring river below. Whether Aesop himself had any notion or interest in astrology is debatable but his (slightly exaggerated) depiction of the nature of the Capricorn strikes a chord with us even today.
While at times this sort of determination may prove a positive trait to have, it might not always be an asset to use to its full strength. It is hardly something you would want "on" in every single situation in life, especially not in those where a bit of diplomacy is required. Instead, some of the more positive aspects of the Capricorn may come to our aid and get us back on the right track in life.
Sobriety and clear-mindedness are the first that characterize this creature of the zodiac. The ability to stay on track yet still be objective about the situation and never lose sight of the bigger picture is something that can be achieved all while avoiding the pitfalls of being far too stubborn. Being on the road to success does not imply a need to steamroll over others. A bit of delicacy and tact never hurt anyone nor will it deter you from your plans. It fact, it may make your sailing a tiny bit smoother, and its rewards not just material but also spiritual.
