The Six of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning: Luminous Spirit Tarot Deck
Published
Six of Pentacles in the Rider Waite Tarot
Here in the six of pentacles, we see a central figure surrounded by two others. This central figure is dressed lavishly, and he holds a balance in his left hand, while throwing coins with his right hand to the surrounding beggars, who are kneeling at his feet. With the scale at his left hand, he internalizes the concept of justice, while the active right hand takes charge of manifesting his beliefs into the real world.
Six of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning & Symbolism
The six of pentacles represents an overall balance within the material world. The message in the cards is that we will get what we need - regardless of whether you are the central figure in the card, who is in a position of wealth and prosperity, or one of the two that ask him for charity.

Simplifying the Six of Pentacles Tarot Card
On a very simple level, the six of pentacles is about giving. It is about taking the wealth and fortune that we have earned, and using that wealth to reinvest in those that need it most. Karma is being implied here, which is why this card is symmetrical. Even though in the Rider Waite, it is very obvious who is giving and who is receiving, I wanted to make that slightly more subtle here. If you don’t look closely, you almost can’t tell in which direction the exchange is happening.
The Concept of Karma, Self and Other in the Six of Pentacles Tarot Card
I think the quiet reminder that happens in the background of this card is the idea, like the same one within the wheel of fortune card, that we understand that the situation can easily be reversed. Everything in this world flows, and what we have today we may not have tomorrow. If we act with compassion, the figures within the six of pentacles all blend together. For we can begin to understand that there is really no difference between self and other, there is no difference between the beggars and the giver in this card.
